WARRANTIES

The Derrimut Discount Furniture name lets you know that every piece of furniture we sell has been made to the highest quality. To offer you further peace of mind, we also include the Furniture Warranty with every piece of brand new furniture we sell. The warranty naturally relates to normal usage of the furniture you’ve chosen and is offered on the understanding that you’ve made every effort to maintain it in good condition (Don’t worry we’ve got lots of handy aftercare tips and info to help you do just that) The warranty period commences from the date you receive the furniture.

Derrimut Discount Furniture provides the following supplier warranties against defects:

  1. Timber: 1 year structural; and

  2. Lounge: 2 years structural on frames; 1 year on mechanisms (mechanisms covered to 120 kg weight load only) and 1 year on stitching/covering. All other goods sold by Derrimut Discount Furniture are covered by manufacturers’ warranties (if applicable).

  3. Derrimut Discount Furniture is not liable for any fading or other change in colouration (“exposure”), any damage caused by general day to day wear and tear (“general usage”) or if the goods are used in a manner outside of their prescribed or ordinary use.

  4. Please keep in mind the Derrimut Discount Furniture Guarantee applies to the original purchaser only (sorry, it is not transferrable) and for products used for reasonable domestic purposes.

   

 Unfortunately, the Derrimut Discount Furniture Quality Guarantee does not apply to:

  1. Normal wear and tear, including pilling, fading, loss or deterioration (of the whole product or its components)

  2. Damage caused by improper use, cleaning, negligence, treatment, transportation, storage of the products or otherwise caused by your acts and/or omissions

  3. Damage caused through any modifications, alterations, improper assembly, tampering, or products used in an abnormal manner and not for the products intended purposes

  4. Damage caused by exposing the products to the sun, extreme heat or cold, or chemicals/agents that are known to damage the finish of the product

  5. Body impressions on mattresses, sofas, and chairs where the indentation is less than 32mm

  6. Defects in products that are sold “As Is”, “Ex Display” or ‘’Floorstock’’ which were considered as inspected by you on purchase.

  7. Products used for commercial purposes.
